Ambalapuzha Palpayasam- A famous rice dessert in Kerala that is so easy to prepare and at the same time a yummy dessert. I have already mentioned about my ummachi’s sweet craving. Recipe for Ambalapuzha Palpayasam
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED
Chemba Pachari/White Rice- 1/4 cup
Milk- 1 Litre
Sugar- 1/2 cup
water- 2 cup
( Adding cashewnuts is purely optional.This is not an authentic recipe of Ambalapuzha Palpayasam )
Method of Preparation
In a pressure cooker put all the ingredients together and in high flame cook till one whistle.
Now in low flame cook it for around 1 hour.(No need to pay attention)
Leave it to cook in steam and open to experience a tasty gourmet sweet dish. If required garnish with cashewnuts roasted in ghee.
Undoubtedly this is one of the desserts that have been relished by many people . I can assure you this payasam is indeed a great recipe from my own Kerala . Whenever this is prepared at home the person who gobble up the most is ——no prize for guessing 🙂 , it’s Ummachi.
