Recipe for Beetroot batura
Whole wheat flour/Atta – 3 cups
Salt – As per taste
Water -For kneading
Curd- 4 tbsp
Beetroot – 1medium sized (steamed and pureed)
A pinch of Baking soda
Refined oil for deep frying
Method of Preparation
In a workplace knead all the ingredients except oil together until it becomes a uniform dough.(Initially add only little water…increase amount of water to obtain a good workable dough.)
Cover with a towel and keep aside for 1 hour.
Make small round balls out of the dough.
Flatten it by dusting flour using a rolling pin.
Heat oil in a saucepan . Fry both sides of each puri in hot oil.
The healthy version of batura is ready to be served….
