Chocolate in any form is just fabulous…Right??I really don’t understand why Abu don’t like that taste….Anyways I am a chocolate lover . Chocolate coffee cake is another wonderful chocolaty cake. I  always bake chocolate cakes (mostly when Abu is not there and this time also it was no different) for myself.I love chocolate cakes so much and I know most of you out there fall in that category….Check out the recipe:

Recipe for Chocolate coffee cake(Adopted from food network)

Ingredients required

1and 3/4 cup all-purpose flour/maida(Keep some flour for dusting cake tin)

2 cups sugar(powdered)

3/4 cups  cocoa powder

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup buttermilk or curd(well beated)

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup freshly brewed hot coffee

Method of Preparation

Sift flour,cocoa powder ,baking soda ,baking powder and salt atleast two times and reserve.

Beat eggs,vanilla essence and sugar till fluffy.(Do it with the help of electric beater). To this add oil and beat well.

Fold in the flour-mix,one-third at a time. Mix  in all the flour likewise.

Add in brewed coffee,salt and curd with the help of a spatula or spoon.  Transfer the  cake mix to the prepared cake tin.

bake for 45 minutes at 200°C in a pre-heated oven.

Chocolate -coffee cake is ready.For topping, I have used whipped cream.
