pinch of salt
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 egg
4 tbsp refined oil
1/4 cup milk
oil for deep frying(Any refined oil will do)
Powdered sugar- 1/2 cup

Sift flour and baking powder in a bowl and reserve.
Add sugar and salt and mix.
In another bowl, lightly beat egg and mix oil.
Mix in flour mixture until crumbly.
Stir in milk. With floured hands, lightly knead the dough until smooth
Leave the dough after covering with cling wrap or plastic cover for about 2 hours.
Roll out the dough into 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface.
As I don’t have doughnut cutter, I used a steel glass with sharp edge and the lid of a small bottle to cut out doughnuts.
Heat oil for deep frying.
Carefully drop doughnuts into hot oil, only a few at a time.
Fry both the sides until golden brown.
Remove from oil and drain on tissue paper.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar .(If required you can add cinnamon powder to the powdered sugar)
Fried doughnuts are ready……..
Happy Baking!!!!
