Starters / Tea-time snacks

Fried doughnuts is a yummy , creamy and fried version of doughnuts that goes along perfect with tea. Although baked version is the best, this one is great option if you still find baking as rocket science (In our country still baking is not a common cooking method).

Do check out the recipe…

1/4 cup milk

oil for deep frying(Any refined oil will do)

Powdered sugar- 1/2 cup

Method of Preparation

Sift flour and baking powder in a bowl and reserve.

Add sugar and salt and mix.

In another bowl, lightly beat egg and mix oil.

Mix in flour mixture until crumbly.

Stir in milk. With floured hands, lightly knead the dough until smooth

Leave the dough after covering with cling wrap or plastic cover for about 2 hours.

Roll out the dough into 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface.

As I don’t have doughnut cutter, I used a steel glass with sharp edge and the lid of a small bottle to cut out doughnuts. 182328_581652958559423_1308279989_n
