‘Orange Chiffon Cake’- As the name suggests it is a smooth, silky cake which will be a delightful treat to your sweet tooth. This is really easy as one bowl method is adopted and oil replaces butter. The soft texture with the tanginess of orange makes it absolutely delicious.Check out the recipe.

Recipe for Orange chiffon cake

Ingredients required

6 large eggs

2 1/4 cups all purpose flour

2 cups superfine white sugar(caster sugar)

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons grated orange zest (outer orange skin)

1/2 cup refined oil(I used sunflower oil)

3/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice(2 – 3 large oranges)

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Method of Preparation

Sieve all-purpose flour and baking powder and reserve.

Beat eggs adding salt till it becomes fluffy.Now add sugar and continue beating.
To the beated eggs add in the oil ,orange zest,orange juice,vanilla extract and beat well.

With the help of spatula or spoon, fold in flour mix.

Now in a prepared baking tin(either spread the cake tin using oil and dust with flour or use a parchment paper or butter paper)pour cake batter.

In a pre-heated oven bake for 35-40 minutes at 200° C.
