Saucy beef is a succulent and tender beef dish that any beef lover relish. It is a beautiful combination of Indian and chinese flavours that is as good as chilli beef. Do enjoy!!!!
Recipe for Saucy beef
Ingredients required
Beef ( cut it into very thin strips)- 1/2 kg
Maida- 2 tbsp
cornflour- 2 tbsp
Kashmiri red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Onions (sliced) – 2 medium sized
capsicum (sliced)- 1
Green chillies (chopped) – 2 no.s
Garlic (chopped)- 2 tbsp
Any refined oil (I have used sunflower oil) – 2 tbsp+ For frying
Soya sauce – 1 1/2tbsp
Tomato sauce – 2 tsp
Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
Salt – As per taste
Method of Preparation
Make a batter out of maida/all-purpose flour , corn flour, kashmiri red chilli powder and enough salt.
Dip beef strips in the batter and deep fry. Reserve these fried beef.(At this point beef is not very tender)
Now heat a saucepan and add 2 tbsp oil. To this add chopped garlic and saute. Then add onions and green chillies. Onions just needs to get transparent and then add capsicum and saute for few seconds.(Make sure that it is done in high flame)
Add soya sauce , tomato sauce, black pepper powder and fried beef. Finally add salt as per taste.
Now add 1/4 cup water and simmer till beef becomes tender.(You can even use pressure cooker for this )
The very delicious saucy beef is ready……………
